Thought of the Day–3/23/18
Thought of the Day—Believe it or not, the only constant in life is change and that is a very good thing. If we never allowed God to change our attitudes and behaviors, we could never be molded into what He had intended for us to be. So as you face another of life’s challenges head on, have faith that God actually knows what He is doing. Just consider your pain and tears, your loss or your trials as life experiences that can be transformed into uniquely hued embroidery floss, applied by God to the beautiful, intricate and very ornate tapestry of your life. Allow Him to delicately but deliberately interweave the ordinary into something quite extraordinary…YOU…

Thought of the Day—If today truly is the first day of the rest of my life, would all of my other days just be considered practice runs?

Thought of the Day—Don’t you just love spring? Watching flowers pushing their way up out of the ground and blossoms blooming on the branches of trees and shrubs give everyone a renewed sense of hope and the promise of warmer days ahead. Don’t you just find the feeling that the spring season invokes irresistible? There is something else that brings about a similar feeling; recognition. Just a simple “thank you”, “I appreciate what you do” or “good job” can lift a person’s spirit and bring a smile to their face. It can make a difference in someone’s work performance, overall attitude or even general behavior. And it’s free; it costs you nothing, nada, zilch! Give it a try and watch what happens; you just may be surprised by the response from your coworker, friend, neighbor, stranger OR your own family member. After all, every day God gives us a visual “I think you’re pretty special”, by providing us with all the grandeur that nature provides. Can’t you take the time to give a special “shout out” to those around you? Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 16:24 (NLT)

Thought of the Day—I know a lot of you have heard the following quote when trying to tackle a large project, “How do you eat an elephant but one bite at a time”, but isn’t that the very same way you get to be the size of one? Just sayin…

Thought of the Day—I think more of us need to be like clocks. All wound up and ready to run accurately and on time, always moving forward with busy hands and finally making time, not wasting it…

Thought of the Day—We are but one grain of sand in this expansive beach called life. That very speck of sand can be either an irritant to the eye or help initiate the process of creating a beautiful pearl. The first grain of sand will get washed out and forgotten; the second will be part of something striking and treasured. We make decisions everyday that can either cause us to become a help or hindrance to others. Choose wisely…

Thought of the Day—I may not have the “Luck O’ the Irish” coursing through my veins, but I have been empowered by the grace of God in my life. And I may not have a pot o’ gold at my disposal, but I feel truly rich every time I hear the innocent laughter of my little granddaughter. Besides, who wants those creepy little leprechauns running around anyway…

Thought of the Day—Did you know that humble pie is naturally fat free and can be really good for you from time to time?
Thought of the Day–3/15/18
Thought of the Day—Somewhere along the way, we have lost something very valuable…faith…in God, in our fellow man, in ourselves. The faith to know what is right and stand up for it, the faith to believe without seeing, to trust that a promise is honored by ones’ word. We have replaced faith with fear…fear of the unknown, fear of political uncertainty, fear of being without, fear of being alone and rejected, fear of the inevitable…death. And so we walk around blindly accepting anything that comes along including barefaced lies dressed in polished professionals offering alternative news, alternative integrity, and embellished truths. Don’t you think it is past time to reverse this trend? Let’s pray for a discerning heart, open eyes, discriminating ears and a disciplined tongue to sort through this blatant deception versus truth. Fear drives a wedge between different races, creeds, and cultures. Faith says we can get through anything together. Fear won’t get you past your own front door but faith will take you to places you’ve never imagined…Today, may your faith become bigger than your fear…
Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts. May the Lord silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue—Psalm 12:1-3 (NIV)
