Thought of the Day—Have you ever had the experience where you see someone and they look so familiar but you just can’t place their name or how you know them? I had that experience just the other day; I have to tell you, after looking at that face for awhile, I got so frustrated I just stepped away from the bathroom mirror…All kidding aside, we DO need to know who we are and how we want our persona and attitudes to be reflected in regards to our position at work, our title as parent, grandparent, spouse, aunt/uncle, follower of Christ, etc. Do we take up society’s irresponsible and childish attitude of “take me as I am or get out of my life” or do we take on the character that is noble and responsible. I know… “I just can’t help it; that’s just my personality—I was born under a certain astrological sign and so it’s just not my fault!” Well, I have something for you to read– 1 Corinthians chapter 13—the love chapter. It pretty much completely covers how we are to treat one another. The bible is filled with guidance on how we are to live and act, as well as a couple of verses on obedience…For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. James 1:23-24 (NLT)
