Thought of the Day—This is the season of Thanksgiving, which lends to two different attitudes; the attitude of gratitude and the sense of entitlement. The first group celebrates the act of thanking God and others for their kindness and goodness. The second group is probably quite frustrated and confused over the first group’s mindset. It all boils down to the conflict of give and take; what is your attitude this Thanksgiving season?
Thought of the Day—It seems we can’t even order a cup of coffee without some safety blurb reminding us to protect ourselves from ourselves. Shouldn’t there likewise be the same type of safety disclaimer just prior to the nightly news? After all, if we can’t handle hot coffee on our own, how dangerous are we going to be with media manipulation? #OCCUPYCOMMONSENSE
Thought of the Day—Isn’t it interesting how an image or even a particular song can transport you back to a special place and time in your life? It’s great to reminisce but leave the past in the past; embrace with great anticipation new memories and special moments that God has for you today, in the here and now…
Thought of the Day—Taking the high road in life might expend more time, more energy, perhaps even more sacrifice, but at the end of the day, God will reveal to you a different perspective in life that others can’t even comprehend…
Thought of the Day— Letting sleeping dogs lie too long may result in a mess to clean up later…so it is with procrastination; it may be more prudent to address problems before they get too large…
Thought of the Day—Do you want to know a secret? There are no secrets with God; He knows everything we’ve done and said anyway…it’s just a matter of being real with Him and confessing what He already knows. Don’t you think our human relationships would go a little smoother if we were more open and honest with others? I’m not talking about brute force honesty but speaking out truth in love…
Thought of the Day—A person surely harvests what he or she plants…what seeds do you have either at the ready to plant or in life’s fields already? Are they seeds of kindness or cruelty, of love or loathing, perhaps a burlap bag full of goodness instead of a threadbare sack of bitterness? It’s up to you; just remember, in the mindset of farm to table, you could very well end up with a plateful of chaos to devour with a big slice of humble pie for dessert…
Thought of the Day—Did you know it took every hue of humanity woven together to create such an exquisite tapestry called mankind? God really knew what He was doing…so why do we keep pulling at one another’s black and white threads?
