Thought of the Day—After watching many movies in my lifetime, I’m convinced they should add a new movie rating to the mix—NIN…No Intelligence Necessary…

Thought of the Day— Be wary of any information source that delivers sensationalism or half-truths over truth, whether that source originates from social media, the news media, gossip magazines or even the local gossip. For their only goal is to deliver tainted stew meat for you to chew on and stew over…not a very healthy food for thought…

Thought of the Day—The way my memory has been lately, sometimes I think I was baptized in the Sea of Forgetfulness…

Thought of the Day— Do you ever feel like one of the broken, one of the walking wounded, perhaps one of the not so perfect inhabitants on the Island of misfit toys? If you do, don’t feel so isolated for there are many of us walking around this earth. But guess what? Jesus preferred to run around with the out crowd, the outcasts, the least of these probably because the need was so great and so much grace was able to be given. Even on this day, this hour, this moment, Jesus wants to meet you just where you are…to apply much grace, more mercy, and most of all full forgiveness. But just remember one thing, He WILL meet you where you are but has no intention for you to remain the way you are…

Thought of the Day—Happy “It’s Monday but it really doesn’t matter because it’s a holiday and I don’t have to officially labor!” Day!!

Thought of the Day— Sometimes, when your heart and mind is tired, weary and overburdened with sadness and you feel you just can’t pray any longer, allow yourself the time to just sit in silence so that God, in His infinite mercy, can minister to your soul…

Thought of the Day— Why does it take such a tragedy as Hurricane Harvey to see what good people do every day to meet another’s needs, to comfort those that have lost much and to step in when needed, despite their own personal sacrifices? And why do these overwhelming acts of kindness and heroism seem to surprise the news media so much when this happens time and time again? It’s engrained in the fabric of our country and her people; all united in one cause, to make a positive difference in the affected lives of others, regardless of our skin pigment, social status or native tongue, for in fact, all lives DO matter. And this mighty effort was not the result of social media, on line postings or other tactics used to organize riots or demonstrations, rather neighbor helping neighbor, love networking outward across state lines until it reached our national borders and beyond. Love in action, the same kind of love in which this nation was founded; a love and trust for our God. 1 John 4:19 states, “We love because He first loved us.” If only our nation would once again reciprocate and put God first, ahead of country…out of a love for our Creator…

Thought of the Day—Isn’t it funny how we get so conditioned from being on social media, that we unfortunately incorporate it in our daily lives? Just the other day, I finally remembered where I put my car keys and I felt like I deserved a “Like” and “Share”…just kidding!

Thought of the Day—You can engrave an image of a butterfly into a piece of wood and call it a real butterfly but it doesn’t make it so; it’s just an image, a copy of the original, a fake. So it is with information on the internet; just because it’s in print, doesn’t mean it is true and reliable. Do a little investigative work before touting ANYTHING on the web as gospel….

Thought of the Day—Have you ever the heard the expression, “just let it roll off like water on a duck’s back”? We need to do the same concerning different situations and worrying. Wouldn’t it be great to pray about it, give it to God and not give another two quacks about it?
