Thought of the Day— May your heart always emit a sweet fragrance to God. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 2:15 (NLT)
Thought of the Day—This is the season of Thanksgiving, which lends to two different attitudes; the attitude of gratitude and the sense of entitlement. The first group celebrates the act of thanking God and others for their kindness and goodness. The second group is probably quite frustrated and confused over the first group’s mindset. It all boils down to the conflict of give and take; what is your attitude this Thanksgiving season?
Thought of the Day—Isn’t it interesting how an image or even a particular song can transport you back to a special place and time in your life? It’s great to reminisce but leave the past in the past; embrace with great anticipation new memories and special moments that God has for you today, in the here and now…
Thought of the Day—Taking the high road in life might expend more time, more energy, perhaps even more sacrifice, but at the end of the day, God will reveal to you a different perspective in life that others can’t even comprehend…
Thought of the Day—Do you want to know a secret? There are no secrets with God; He knows everything we’ve done and said anyway…it’s just a matter of being real with Him and confessing what He already knows. Don’t you think our human relationships would go a little smoother if we were more open and honest with others? I’m not talking about brute force honesty but speaking out truth in love…
Thought of the Day—Did you know it took every hue of humanity woven together to create such an exquisite tapestry called mankind? God really knew what He was doing…so why do we keep pulling at one another’s black and white threads?
Thought of the Day—It may take a village to raise a child, but that doesn’t give anyone the permission to abandon their children in the village square. We need to once again cherish and treat our children as they really are; a precious gift from God, an eternal soul entrusted to our care, the next generation in a pint sized form. They are not someone else’s responsibility, your best friend in training or constant irritant…they are a reminder from God to us that we too, still need to find the wonderment in the everyday, what it means to once again enjoy the essence of innocence in trusting others, to possess a colored blind heart…Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Thought of the Day—Isn’t it funny how, after losing a loved one, we sometimes feel guilty for moving on with our daily lives? It’s almost as if we are afraid to move forward because we might forget or disrespect that loved one. God didn’t intend for our life to stop the moment our loved ones’ did. Sometimes, we need to just pause and remember that person with a smile or a tear and move forward, one step at a time, one day at a time…
