Thought of the Day—Welcome to 2018–a New Year, a blank slate. As we go through this next year, many events that we experience will be as a result of someone else’s choices that affect you. Other occurrences will be from your own decisions, whether they be wise or foolish. Wouldn’t it be nice to allow God, in His infinite wisdom, to scribe out your life as He sees fits and just follow His plan? Here we are at day one; what will you write as you pick up the pen of your life? The myriad of list entries that seem so important or a simple “Thy will be done…”?
The only way you can be a true light in this world of darkness is if you allow yourself to be brave, vulnerable and visible. Isn’t it time you start using the tools God gave you to make a real positive difference in your own little world?
Thought of the Day—As we face a new year with uncertainty, I would much rather put my trust and life in God’s hands, than to gamble on fate to safely take me through. Whose hands would you rather rest in times of trouble?
Thought of the Day—God’s love was shown and Hope was born for us on Christmas Day! May peace reign in your lives as you celebrate the Christ child this Christmas…happy birthday, Jesus!
Thought of the Day—As we enter the eve before Christmas, let us remember that it matters not what lies beneath the tree as much as what lies in our hearts. A heart full of thankfulness for our one perfect gift–Jesus, a heart full of love for our family and friends and a heart full of joy in anticipation of being with those you love…that is what the Spirit of Christmas is all about…
Thought of the Day—Jesus isn’t the reason for the season…we are…For if sin had not entered into this world and if we were not in such a desperate state of need, there would be no need for a Savior to save us from our sins…but here we are, with that very need. So we, the receivers of God’s most perfect gift, celebrate the gift of Jesus this season and we worship God the Father for His perfect love for us! John 3:16-17 (NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Thought of the Day—It’s a new day dawning and God has something special for each one of us today. Let us walk forward with both eyes and hearts open in anticipation of what this day may bring. For we never know what kind of precious gift could reveal itself within the rhythmic beat of the ordinary day.
Thought of the Day—A candle in the window is meant to draw people home, towards the light that shines in the darkness. We are to be that same light, in this world of darkness. Never underestimate your ability to draw others into your warmth, for you are your Father’s child… Matthew 5:16 (NIV) In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Thought of the Day—What if Santa were real and he took the time every day to lower his head and pray to God for the needs of all the children from all around the world that was on his list, regardless of who was naughty or nice? I’m sure that if Santa were found out, there would surely be a worldwide scandal and he would be placed on trial to answer for his questionable deeds. But did you know you ARE Santa in someone’s life? Take the time to pray over those children that YOU can influence in a positive way…and oh, wait, there’s something else you can do. Read the REAL Christmas story to them and answer any questions they might have…it will make an eternal difference…
Thought of the Day—Living life without purpose is like footprints left in the sand; we leave temporary impressions that are soon erased by the ebb and flow of life’s tides…strive to discover what God’s plan is for your life so you can leave behind a lasting legacy that will positively impact future generations…
