What’s love got to do with it? EVERYTHING!
—Forgiven by Thomas Blackshear

Thought of the Day—Attempting to live life vicariously through others is like being offered scraps from someone else’s half eaten meal; hopefully you’ll eventually feel pretty disgusted and left wanting more. The God who breathed air in to your lungs and sparked life into your body has laid before you a smorgasbord of life experiences tailored just for you. All you have to do is have the courage, grit and determination to pick up that fork and begin enjoying all that makes you…you…for there is no substitute…

Thought of the Day—Worrying about a problem is often times giving that problem more attention than is needed or deserved…it’s like proclaiming the situation to be the unmanageable size of a gigantic glacier, but in reality, it’s only the mass of a melting ice cube…why waste your time worrying when you can just pray, give it to God, let it go and move on…

Thought of the Day—Choose love…whatever decisions that need to be made or actions that need to be taken, choose the way of love…for love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous, nor does it brag, nor is love arrogant, it does not act unbecoming, love does not seek its’ own or is it easily provoked, love does not keep a record of wrongs, love does not rejoice in injustice but rather rejoices when truth triumphs. God IS Love…so this day, choose love…this day and every day…

Thought of the Day—Wow, it’s Monday! What an opportunity to springboard into a fantastic week…or maybe it’s just an excuse to be grumpy…it’s your choice and all in the attitude. Here’s to being bold and wearing that beautiful smile of yours all day long!
Thought of the Day—Throughout our journey in life, we will from time to time come upon a crossroad in which a decision needs to be made…however, there is only one crossroad whose choice will ultimately decide our eternal fate…choose wisely…

Thought of the Day—Why is it people seem to be so horribly offended by being profiled…unless it involves a senior discount?

Thought of the Day—The beginning of John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world…”; His love is all inclusive…there’s no exclusions mentioned based on skin pigment, eye color, weight, nationality or NFL preference. But you have to read the entire verse to truly appreciate the extent of God’s love for us…”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” How are you positively impacting and loving your little piece of this beautiful, blue orb?

Thought of the Day—I prefer an ugly, imperfect garden fresh tomato over a perfectly formed and colorized hot house tomato every time because I’ve tasted both. The mushy, tasteless, anemic imitation is no match to the meaty, full bodied sweet tanginess of the real thing. Just picked off the vine with a dash of salt and your tongue is doing a happy dance; the sweet nectar escapes out the side of the mouth and dribbles down the chin.
Thus is the damaging and damning side effects of judging and profiling people just by appearance. Until you have risked engaging in conversation and interacting with another, you have no idea if their personality is palatable or not; we certainly don’t want to waste our time trying to get to know someone who appears to have been badly bruised or compromised by life, right? Besides aren’t the pretty, polished, professional and perfect more appealing anyway? Just be very careful; there is nothing more disappointing than cutting into a beautiful piece of fruit and finding the inside either rotten, hollow or both…just be real…to yourself and others…

Thought of the Day—One of the most underappreciated times of our lives is the everyday, the ordinary, the same routine we go through day after day. We need to learn to be content at all times, not just when we have our toes in the sand or when we ascend to the mountain top…for every day is a gift from God; don’t push that gift aside while waiting for a tomorrow that is not promised to you…
