Thought of the Day—God’s love was shown and Hope was born for us on Christmas Day! May peace reign in your lives as you celebrate the Christ child this Christmas…happy birthday, Jesus!

Thought of the Day—Jesus isn’t the reason for the season…we are…For if sin had not entered into this world and if we were not in such a desperate state of need, there would be no need for a Savior to save us from our sins…but here we are, with that very need. So we, the receivers of God’s most perfect gift, celebrate the gift of Jesus this season and we worship God the Father for His perfect love for us! John 3:16-17 (NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Thought of the Day—A candle in the window is meant to draw people home, towards the light that shines in the darkness. We are to be that same light, in this world of darkness. Never underestimate your ability to draw others into your warmth, for you are your Father’s child… Matthew 5:16 (NIV) In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Thought of the Day—Living life without purpose is like footprints left in the sand; we leave temporary impressions that are soon erased by the ebb and flow of life’s tides…strive to discover what God’s plan is for your life so you can leave behind a lasting legacy that will positively impact future generations…

Thought of the Day—The most important conversation you’ll ever have is between you and God. But just how is that going to occur if you don’t ever allow yourself to just sit in silence and listen?

Thought of the Day—As we transition from the season of thanks to the season of giving, we need to continue to be in an attitude of thanksgiving. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

Thought of the Day—It has been one month ago today that our beautiful sister/wife/mom/aunt/friend Jennifer left this world to live an eternal, abundant life with our Heavenly Father. And while we all continue to grieve in our own way, memories about Jennifer remain a constant to ease the pain of our loss. Here’s one bit of information about Jennifer I bet most people knew; she loved frogs, as was reflected in every room of her home. She also loved the playful peace frog which seemed to be a throwback to the hippie era. But did you know that the word frog is also an acronym for Fully Rely On God? So here’s a Thought of the Day from Jennifer and her beloved frogs; FULLY RELY ON GOD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU PEACE…peace…love…out…

Thought of the Day— May your heart always emit a sweet fragrance to God. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 2:15 (NLT)

Thought of the Day—Do you want to know a secret? There are no secrets with God; He knows everything we’ve done and said anyway…it’s just a matter of being real with Him and confessing what He already knows. Don’t you think our human relationships would go a little smoother if we were more open and honest with others? I’m not talking about brute force honesty but speaking out truth in love…

Thought of the Day—It may take a village to raise a child, but that doesn’t give anyone the permission to abandon their children in the village square. We need to once again cherish and treat our children as they really are; a precious gift from God, an eternal soul entrusted to our care, the next generation in a pint sized form. They are not someone else’s responsibility, your best friend in training or constant irritant…they are a reminder from God to us that we too, still need to find the wonderment in the everyday, what it means to once again enjoy the essence of innocence in trusting others, to possess a colored blind heart… Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
